Writing Prompt #4

Writing Prompt #4: What is your personal credo (belief)?
My personal belief is you live your life, and you die, that’s all there is to it.  While you live your life you have to try to enjoy it, if you don’t well then you don’t enjoy it. Some people belief you live your life to find what your purpose is in life, and then there’s people like me, who just live there life like every other day. Wake up get ready for the day and put that mask on to make sure everyone else doesn't see that you’re truly not happy. Disorders and depression are in the way of my “happiness”, and there’s nothing I can do about it, but live my life like a calendar, just go on day by day. Not much more to it.

Writing Prompt #3

What characteristics do you value most in a friend? Explain why they are important.

Some characteristics that I value the most in a friend are that they are fun to be around, be able to keep me laughing. Also another important thing is that I can rely on them for help when I need it. A true friend should be someone you can fight with but be able to settle the differences and still be as great as friends. A true best friend is more like a family member. You can tell them anything and you can trust them not to go off and tell everyone you know. Keeping the spirit alive when no one else can, just simple things like that is what I believe is a true best friend.

Writing Prompt #2

What does the following quote mean to you?  "You don’t get to pick where you’re from, but you always have control of where you’re going."

I think the quote means just about anything. We in a way do pick what we have control of, there are some "speed bumps" in the way, but just think. We chose the way we act, we do that ourselves. Now if we had the total power to chose what we did, I wouldn't want to be a part of that world. To many bad things would happen and it would be because we decided to do so and there was no punishment for the WRONG action, but we wouldn't know better. Having some bumpers to determine how you should act and how you do act is a great thing.

Prompt #1

If a handful of people can change the world for the worse, then I am certain that a handful of people can do the world for the better. What will you do to make this world of ours, which feels so broken right now, a better place?
As a student, I want to be able to change the world by stopping all the animal abuse and neglect. In my eyes I see that as one of my biggest concerns, yes war and taxes is a big issue, but following my heart is more important than any of those things. Saving animals is just on the top of my list, it breaks my heart to see animals hurting and no one there to help them. I just want to jump up and help the animal(s) to the best of my ability.
Ever since I was a child I have loved animals. It’s just a part of my nature; I can physically feel when something is wrong with an animal, just as they can do the same with us. We all know how being hurt feels: it; sucks, plain and simple as that. So why would anyone want to do the same to another creature? It’s wrong; it’s like hurting someone else’s child or family member. Even if it’s your own pet, think of your pet as your child, would you do the things you do to your child, and if you don’t have any children, think if you did, would you even imagine doing the things you do to animals to an infant? I know I would NEVER do so.
